Panagiotis Karakitsios is a Greek civil engineer, computer programmer and software entrepreneur, who works in computational mechanics, isogeometric analysis and computational geometry and has received 1 international and 23 national awards for his academic performance and research. He is the founder of Geomiso, and currently operates as its chairman and CEO. He received his Diploma in Civil Engineering from National Technical University of Athens with a 9.47 (excellent) grade point average (first among 242 civil engineers) in 2009 and his MSc in analysis and design of earthquake resistant structures from National Technical University of Athens with the highest (9.87, excellent) grade point average among 55 civil engineers in 2011.

Dr. Manolis Papadrakakis received his Diploma in Civil Engineering from the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 1971 and he continued his studies at the City University of London, UK, where he received an MSc in Structural Engineering (1975) and a PhD in Computational Mechanics (1978). His research activity is mainly focused on the development and the application of the latest computer methods and technology to structural engineering analysis and design. He is one of the editors of the journal Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, published by Elsevier.
